CBC Radio’s 2006 and 2007 Poet Laureate, Michelle Muir (aka Nuff Said) is an author, poet, Spoken Word artist, and full time teacher with The Peel District School Board in Canada. She is also a professional storyteller, a university lecturer, conference presenter and motivational speaker. Michelle has been a member of numerous curriculum writing teams, sits on the Board of Directors for People For Education, and is an in- house writer for Nelson Publishing and CBC Radio.
Michelle's poetry is a journey where her ideas and skillful use of language are cleverly woven into melodious lines, perfectly delivered in her urban/contemporary, Africa-Canadian rhythmic and poly-rhythmic style. Her playfulness with the word, the natural rhythm and cadence of her voice take you on a journey through music, life, education, community pride, love erotic desire, political irony, questions about race, class and gender.
